NOTES
Great snook bite.
Gulf of Mexico
The snook bite is really heating up. Snook like the warmer water during the summer months. You can target snook a few different ways, but a live green back is the best way. To catch green backs you need to get an early start. Find some grassy areas in about 5/6 ft of water right at sunrise .Use purina fish food, mix it with water until its thick like oatmeal. Slowly throw little balls of it and get the chum slick rolling infront of your boat. It usually takes about 20 minutes out of Bayport Florida to get them close to the boat. Throw a heavy 10 or 12 foor net and you should have some success. Once you have the bait of choice, start fishing the middlw of the incoming tide neae mangrove island or the rocky points. Hope this info helps. be safe and tight lines everyone.
